In 2025, Experience Studios collaborated with Sammy Virji, a chart topping UK electronic music artist, on his two nighter headline show at O2 Brixton Academy. Experience Studios designed the full visual experience including; show direction, lighting, production and set design and operational support package.
Our team worked closely with Sammy and his team to craft a fun visual experience that elevates the playful energy of his live show. Combining our in-house hand drawn illustration and motion capture, we brought to life a Sammy Virji universe through animation.
To maintain the consistency of the animation style, we used custom designed generative workflows to manipulate our own illustration data (left) that transforms live camera footage of guest featured artists on stage into our own stylised cartoon characters (right) to display on the stage LED video wall.
Inspired by his “If U Need It” cover artwork, we collaborated with Light Initiative and designed custom kinetic light boxes to bring the artist’s vision to life.
From conceptualising the visuals to executing every technical aspect including production design, live visual content design, laser design, and lighting design, we ensured that the show was tailored to the artists style and venue technical specification.
On show day our team provided live visual operation, live camera effects and laser show execution, seamlessly integrating these elements into the performance.
